Your family's data is personal. This policy explains what New Baby collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Activity data you log — feeds, sleep, diapers, milestones, notes, and voice entries.
- Account info — email address if you choose to create an account.
- Device & usage data — app version, crashes, and anonymous usage analytics to help us fix bugs and improve features.
How we use voice
New Baby is voice-led. When you speak to the App, your audio is processed to transcribe and structure the entry. Audio is processed transiently and is not used to train third-party models. You can delete voice notes at any time.
How we use your data
- To provide the core tracking and insights features of the App.
- To sync your data across your devices (if you enable sync).
- To improve the App, diagnose problems, and build better features.
- To communicate important service updates.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use your child's data to train advertising models.
- We don't run third-party ad trackers inside New Baby.
Sharing
We share data only with vetted service providers (such as cloud hosting and speech-to-text) strictly to operate New Baby, and only under contracts that require them to protect your data. We may disclose data if required by law.
Storage and security
Your data is stored securely with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfect, but we work hard to keep your family's information safe.
Your choices
- Access & export — request a copy of your data at any time.
- Delete — delete individual entries, or wipe your account entirely.
- Permissions — microphone, notifications and other device permissions can be revoked from your OS settings.
Children
New Baby is designed for parents and caregivers to use on behalf of their own children. The App is not directed to children under 13 for their own use.
International users
If you use New Baby outside the country where our servers are located, your data may be transferred and processed there. We apply the same protections wherever your data is held.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and note the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in the App or by email.
